Finding a good quality electrician is hard to come by these days. Knowing if they’re even qualified to carry out the work, are reasonably priced, fully insured and will turn up when you need them most are constant concerns we all have.
That’s why at My Trusted Expert we’ve made it our mission to find the one truly exceptional and trusted electrician per town that ticks all the right boxes and are up to date with the very latest regulations to make sure your job goes as smoothly as possible.
They go through our thorough qualification process to make sure they meet all our expectations which only 5% succeed and once they become our expert we constantly monitor them to ensure they are always delivering to highest possible standards.
All our electricians are both these things so are fully qualified.
This guarantees all work carried out will meet the UK national standard, BS 7671 (requirements for Electrical Installations) which ensures your electrics are installed safely and correctly.
Plus once the work is finished you’ll receive an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Work Certificate that confirm the work carried out meets BS 7671 as well as a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate to confirm the work meets Building Regulations.
By law, all homeowners and landlords must be able to prove that all electrical work meets Part P, or they will be committing a criminal offence. Local authorities can make you remove or alter the work if it doesn’t meet building regulations.
Also when using a non-registered or certified electrician you are responsible for contacting your local-authority building control regarding your electrical work which does incur a fee whereas by using a certified electrician they take care of all this for you.
Many electricians charge a flat rate call out charge regardless if they fix your problem or not.
We don’t feel this is right. Why should you have to pay someone to come round and potentially leave you in the same position as you were before they even arrived. It’s not right.
That’s why we’ve made sure all our electricians do not charge a call out fee.
Meaning, they’ll come round to have a look at your problem and if they can fix it they’ll let you know the price to do it and its up to you if you’d like them to go ahead but if they can’t they’ll tell you there and then and you won’t be charged.
The only exceptions to the rules are for emergency late night call outs. Meaning, if you need someone round at midnight and when you actually want to hire them to check if you have any electrical faults.
Apart from these exceptions you should never have to pay a call out fee when using our electrician experts.
Electricians, plumbers, roofers, builders or any type of company that conducts work in a home or commercial space for that matter is required to have Public Liability Insurance.
This covers property related things like a broken window or any damage to your home by the company’s employees. Meaning, if they accidentally damage your ceiling while fitting your new spot lights or worst drill through a water pipe and flood a room, their insurance will cover the cost to put it right and not you or your home insurance.
If the electrician company you use doesn’t have this in place you put yourself and family dangerously at risk should something happen while they work in your home.
That’s why ALL our electricians have a minimum £2 Million Public Liability to ensure your safety.
To verify they have this type of cover, all our electricians have to provide us with their certificate or letter of acknowledgement by their insurer before they become our expert to prove they have public liability insurance.
Believe it or not, there is no law that requires an electrician to warranty their work for more than 30 days.
However, we believe warranties should be an essential part to any electrical job.
Electricians committed to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction should warranty their work for longer which is why we personally only accept electricians who offer a minimum of one year warranty on all their electrical work.
Plus when supplying a product/part they’ll warranty they’ll work for the whole duration of the manufacturer warranty for the part. Meaning, they’ll come out and fix/replace any part free of charge during the warranty period.
This way you’ll have the confidence of knowing you’re electrical work is being done properly and be assured if any problems do occur, it won’t cost you anything.
Efficient, friendly service.Would reccomend to anyone wanting Phil and his NextLevel Install company.
Jordan & Luke came to resolve a fault with our downstairs sockets that left us without power. Both were very knowledgeable, polite & efficient. Had my power back on within 30 mins. Would recommend & use again.

David and his staff were friendly, efficient and on point with my Ring installation. Fair pricing as well. I would highly recommend his services.
Chris arrived at the agreed time. He quickly took in the situation and traced the fault in our rambling wiring. I was delighted by his manner, approach, and efficiency. The cost was reasonable and he tidied up afterwards! I think we were very lucky to have found such an unpretentious genuine professional electrician.
Lovely chap, would use Daniel again if needed but no plans to move plugs myself anytime soon!
Asa quoted to take over some unfinished electrical work on a major house rebuild. His quotation was clear and covered all our requirements. He arrived on time with a colleague and was very good at problem solving and trying out different things to get to the bottom of issues. At times, this was quite tricky as he hadn't been involved in the initial electrical work. He even returned at 7pm on a Friday to check out why some lights were tripping. Very friendly and expertise combined. Stuck to his quotation and we will now be using him for all our future electrical requirements as well as recommending him to others.
I found Martin a very pleasant and friendly young man. Thanks

Okay first review so lets make this thorough: Leon had come over today to assess my flat and run an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) I as a consumer was really happy with: - His ability to quickly identify and flag some minor issues which needed adjusting. - His level of transparency and communication as he ran me through any changes that would occur (power cycling, what task he was moving onto as he progressed through his EICR) - Willingness to see a job through, he had gone to collect some parts to complete the task and had gone the extra mile to get it all resolved quickly. Brilliant level of customer service and overall great expertise in his role. Would highly recommend.
Very honest and efficient!
Turned up at the time we agreed and sorted the fault. Very professional. Thank you.
Very good service when I had a emergency. Gave very good advice. Would use again.
Fantastic service. Immediate response and arrived within the time given. Excellent knowledge and quickly found the fault.
Excellent service, very professional and I can strongly recommend this company. The standard of work carried out was exceptional.
Fantastic help and to the point both on the phone and in person. Arrived in the time we were given and explained the problem and solution simply but without being patronising. 10/10 for Paul the gent who came out to us.
Wow! responded immediately, electrician was here in no time, he explained the faults and fixed them right away, can actually say, "he saved our lives " as one switch was very very old and was heating up, potentially causing a fire. so big a thank you for making us safe, excellent service, excellent work carried out, would definitely recommend. THANK YOU
I was looking for a company to do an electrical survey of a property I am buying. I have nothing but praise for Paul and the work he has done. His estimation was clear. He was timely. He was very thorough in his survey of the property highlighting a number of things which need addressing which there is no way would have been identified otherwise. There are lots of companies out there on comparison sites but I would thoroughly recommend Paul from Electricians On Call.
I would recommended this company. Paul came to fit my new oven that needed to have a safety socket and new wires put behind it to make safe , spot on for time very quick and he knew his stuff and very polite, even got a free pen which was a nice touch ! many thanks for all your help
Very professional, engineer arrived at time stated. Problem fixed in less than half an hour, therefore charged half hour rate, would have paid hourly rate with most other emergency call outs. Many thanks, would not hesitate to recommend!
If you are not happy, we will work closely with you and your expert to make things right.
